6 Cabins

Gammara sails Komodo as a dark-hulled, six-cabin phinisi, with the sort of long shaded lounge deck that's clearly built for people to gather on rather than just pass through.   Two upper cabins carry the ocean views, four sit below, and the boat leans toward private charter: book four days, three nights or more and a private beach dinner is set up for you. A three-day shared sail runs for solo travelers and couples too.

Overview

Six cabins split across two decks

Wood paneling and woven ceiling details run through every room. Jasmine takes the upper-deck master position, a king bed and panoramic ocean views, Lily sits beside it with its own ocean view one bracket down, and Ivy & Iris cover the lower-deck doubles, each with a private bathroom and air con. The boat sleeps up to twelve across the six rooms.

A deck built to host something

The main deck lounge runs shaded under a wide canvas canopy, with a long wooden dining table and a scatter of grey bean bags built more for lingering than passing through. It’s a space that gets used for more than meals: a yoga session at sunrise, a BBQ night under the stars, a movie playing after dinner, or a birthday nobody wants to end. A karaoke set and a paddleboard round out the ways to fill the hours between islands.

Built to charter, and the three-day route

Gammara’s product list runs six private durations, three days up to eight, against a single three-day shared sail. That lean toward private charter shows in the extras: book four days and three nights or longer, and a private beach dinner comes set up as part of the trip, a perk the shorter bookings miss. Solo travelers and couples who’d rather join a set departure than book the whole boat still have the three-day shared sail to fall back on.

The shared sail runs Komodo’s western reaches over three days: Kelor and Manjarite islands into a Kalong sunset on day one, then sunrise from the top of Padar, a swim at Pink Beach, the dragons on Komodo Island, and stops at Taka Makassar and Manta Point on day two, before a last snorkel at Kanawa Island and the return to Labuan Bajo on day three. Private charters run the same waters at whatever length you book, from three days up to eight, with more time at each stop rather than a different route.

FAQs

Step into a world where traditional craftsmanship meets modern nautical design. Explore the expansive decks, social lounges, and unique architectural details that make this vessel a premier choice for your island adventure.

It’s tied strictly to length, not lead time: the beach dinner comes bundled automatically at four days, three nights and up, while shorter private charters and the three-day shared sail don’t carry it as a standard inclusion. It’s one more reason a longer private booking earns more than just extra days in the park.

No. The shared sail runs one fixed three-day, two-night route with a set date; there is no four-day or week-long shared option. That flexibility, more or fewer days, exists only on the private side, where the ladder runs three days up to eight.

On a private charter, the whole lounge deck, dining table and bean bags are exclusively yours, so a yoga session, a BBQ night or a movie screening happens on your own schedule rather than a set slot. Book the three-day sail instead and the same deck is still there, but you are coordinating around whatever routine that particular departure settles into with the rest of the group.
