6 Cabins

Two ways to sail with Vinca Voyage: a fixed three-day shared trip on a set schedule, or a private charter shaped entirely around your group, from a single day up to three nights. Both stay inside Komodo, the only park this boat works.   Guest count flexes from fourteen to eighteen by using each cabin's spare berth, so bigger groups and families fit without switching boats. The Balinese cabin's built-in single bed is the one made with kids in mind.

Overview

Evenings, karaoke, and clear sky

The common areas split by mood: an indoor lounge with sofas, a TV and a karaoke set for the nights that want noise, and an outdoor deck with bean bags and an umbrella for the ones that don’t. Guest reviews of Vinca Voyage keep mentioning the karaoke nights, and more than one has mentioned the Milky Way from the top deck once Labuan Bajo’s lights are well behind you, though that’s down to weather and where you’re anchored, not something every sailing gets.

A cabin built with family in mind

Four of the six cabins are matched pairs built for two, Western and Japanese, each with an optional extra bed if a third joins. The other two, the Balinese Rooms, break the pattern with a double and a built-in single, sized for a parent and a child rather than two adults splitting a queen. It’s part of why the guest count stretches from fourteen to eighteen without adding a cabin: every room’s spare berth gets used before the boat is full.

Fixed schedule, or write your own

The shared trip is a set three-day, two-night sailing aboard this 31 meter phinisi, a fixed Komodo route you join alongside other travelers making the same crossing. Charter it outright instead and the days, the stops and the pace are yours: a full day out, one night, two nights or three, with a sample route the crew shapes around what your group actually wants to see. Seven crew run the boat day to day, and a Yamaha-powered tender handles the shuttle to shore at each stop.

Every departure already comes with a guide and documentation, an underwater GoPro, a proper camera and a drone overhead, so photos and video are covered by default. Book the private charter for two nights or more and two further extras come with it at no separate charge: a video reel of the trip and a dinner set up on the beach. Shorter charters and the shared trip don’t carry these two, so it’s worth knowing the threshold if either is the reason you’re chartering.

FAQs

Step into a world where traditional craftsmanship meets modern nautical design. Explore the expansive decks, social lounges, and unique architectural details that make this vessel a premier choice for your island adventure.

On the shared trip, a child’s rate scales down by age band before reaching full fare. The private charter doesn’t offer that middle tier: very young children sail free, but anyone three and up pays the adult rate. Tell us the ages in your group when you inquire and we’ll confirm what each seat actually costs before you commit.

Like most Komodo phinisis, Vinca Voyage’s dual masts are traditional rigging, not the boat’s actual power. The Mitsubishi engine handles the real work of getting between islands; the two-mast profile is a nod to the classic Bugis schooner design the hull is built from, carried over as a design choice rather than raised for a passage. It’s part of why the boat reads as a proper phinisi rather than a modern charter yacht.

Vinca Voyage sets a six-guest minimum for the shared trip to go ahead. It’s worth confirming with us close to your date, especially if you’re booking as a couple or a small group hoping to join rather than fill the boat yourselves, since a trip running under that number may need to shift or combine with another booking.
