Jofiel

Komodo Islands

10 Packages

7 Guests

3 Cabins

Every charter on Jofiel is private, the whole ironwood schooner and its six-person crew for one group alone. Three cabins sleep up to seven, and the Master Cabin keeps a private balcony of its own.   Built in Labuan Bajo in 2017, Jofiel also runs a serious dive setup: a Bauer compressor, DIN/Yoke tanks, and a tender kept for diving alone. Small groups and dive buddies who want the boat to themselves suit it best.

Overview

A local hull, built around seven guests

Jofiel was laid down and finished right here in Labuan Bajo in 2017, out of ironwood. It has never sailed in from somewhere else, and every season since has run through the same waters it was built beside.

Every charter on Jofiel books the whole boat, never a cabin inside it. Cap the guest count at seven and the crew at six, and the ratio comes out close to one crew member per guest. There’s no shared schedule to fit around and no itinerary set by strangers: the days, the route and the pace on board belong to whoever books it.

Three cabins, four bathrooms, one balcony

The Master Cabin takes the upper deck and opens onto its own private balcony. Below, the Double Cabin and the Triple Cabin share the lower deck, and across all three the boat runs four bathrooms, one more than the cabin count needs, so a full charter of seven is never waiting on a shower.

A compressor on board, and everything else looked after

Diving on Jofiel runs on its own gear rather than a bolt-on. It carries its own Bauer breathing-air compressor, DIN and Yoke valve tanks, and a tender kept for diving days alone, so the setup for a dive is already on deck rather than picked up in town.

Jofiel runs on Starlink, a satellite connection that keeps working well past where the old signal usually gives out. Housekeeping runs daily, an onboard bar keeps drinks and snacks stocked, and there’s an audio and video setup for the evenings nobody feels like talking. None of it is why you’d charter a three-cabin boat, but it’s why a week on board doesn’t feel like camping.

Komodo Islands

Dive days run around your own compressor and tender, with a private group small enough that nobody waits on tank fills or the boat's schedule. The gear, DIN and Yoke tanks included, comes with the charter itself, not arranged around it.

Komodo Islands

A private charter through the park's islands, at whatever pace your group sets: Padar's ridgeline at sunrise, an afternoon with the dragons, an evening anchored somewhere quiet enough to hear the water. Capped at seven guests, it never feels like a crowd, on deck or off it.

FAQs

Step into a world where traditional craftsmanship meets modern nautical design. Explore the expansive decks, social lounges, and unique architectural details that make this vessel a premier choice for your island adventure.

Jofiel partners with DAN, the Divers Alert Network, for dive-accident coverage across every charter, on top of whatever personal travel or dive insurance you carry yourself. It’s one more piece already built into the boat’s own dive setup rather than something you’d need to sort out separately once you’re in the water.

The compressor, tanks and dive tender are part of every charter, but exactly what’s bundled into the rate itself, tank fills, weights, personal gear, isn’t something we can state with certainty from here. We’d walk through the specifics with you directly before you book rather than assume either way.

Yes, standard snorkeling gear, mask, fins and a life jacket, comes with every charter regardless of whether you’re booking the diving product or the leisure route. It’s separate kit from the dive setup itself, so non-divers in your group are covered too, not just the guests booked in for tanks and a compressor.
