Every booking on Kayra is the whole 37 meter phinisi, not a shared cabin. A dedicated masseuse works two hours daily into the schedule, and the toy locker runs to Seabobs, eFoils and a genuine floating pool off the stern.   Eight guests sleep aboard across four cabins, the Master Cabin's own bathtub the standout. Bring more people just for a day and Kayra can host up to twenty for a private event.

Overview

The toy locker and the spa, before anything else

Kayra’s water-toy inventory reads like a wishlist rather than a standard fit-out: Seabobs, eFoils, a wakeboard, waterski and sea kayaks, plus a floating cabana and an inflatable slide off the swim platform. The genuine floating pool trailing behind the stern is the one most guests ask about first, and it’s rare enough on this water to be worth the question.

Below deck the wellness side runs just as deep: a dedicated spa room, a dry sauna, and a workout room built around one machine rather than a full rack of equipment, plus an ice bath on the deck plan for anyone who wants the full contrast after a dive. Gaming and movie nights are covered too, which on most liveaboards means cards and an early night instead.

Eight guests, four cabins, and room to stretch to ten

Eight guests is the base count, split across four cabins. The Master Cabin takes the upper deck with its own bathtub and a sea view wide enough to earn the brochure’s praise, while the VIP cabin one deck down adds a private balcony of its own.

The two lower guest cabins are built with families in mind: sofa beds convert for a child in either room, so the eight-guest base can stretch to include two kids without anyone sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Every cabin runs its own air conditioning and en suite bathroom.

The whole boat every time, or a bigger day on top

Kayra doesn’t run a shared trip at all. Every booking is the whole boat, professional crew included, so the route bends entirely to whoever’s aboard rather than a fixed weekly departure.

That eight-guest count isn’t the ceiling on how many people the boat can carry for a shorter occasion. Rent it for a private event instead of an overnight charter, and the guest list can stretch to twenty for the day, sharing the pool and the toys before the smaller overnight group takes over for the night.

Komodo Islands

A private charter through Komodo National Park, the whole boat yours for however many days you book, running the volcanic chain between Sumbawa and Flores. The floating pool, water toys and two hours of daily massage turn transit time into as much of the trip as the islands themselves.

Lombok

A private charter starting from Sumbawa Besar instead of Labuan Bajo, crossing west to east: Moyo Island's waterfalls, whale sharks in Teluk Saleh, Satonda's crater lake, then the same Komodo dragons and Gili Lawa viewpoints before disembarking in Labuan Bajo, the pool and toys running the whole way.

FAQs

Step into a world where traditional craftsmanship meets modern nautical design. Explore the expansive decks, social lounges, and unique architectural details that make this vessel a premier choice for your island adventure.

Crew inflate and secure it off the swim platform once the boat’s anchored somewhere sheltered enough to keep it steady, so it isn’t running the whole day underway. Ask early in the charter if it matters to your group, since a rough anchorage on a given afternoon can mean it waits until the next stop instead.

It runs off a dedicated onboard therapist rather than a shared clock, so it’s less about splitting one block of time and more about booking slots across the charter. Extra time beyond the included two hours is billed separately if your group wants more than the standard allowance covers.

The crew runs a quick briefing before anyone gets on either one, no certification needed, but basic swimming confidence matters more than it does for a kayak or paddleboard. Wakeboarding and waterskiing lean on the crew’s own judgment about who’s ready, so don’t expect every toy in the locker to come out for every guest on request.

Not automatically. Sleeping aboard tops out at eight, but Kayra can run a day event for as many as twenty guests, the extra crowd enjoying a full afternoon aboard before they head back to shore ahead of dark. Good for a celebration bigger than the cabins alone could hold, as long as everyone’s clear upfront on who’s actually staying the night.

Two more rooms sit near it: a proper dry sauna, and a small workout space with a single all-in-one exercise machine instead of a full weights setup. The boat’s own deck plan also shows an ice bath, though the brochure text never mentions it directly. Worth confirming if the cold-plunge side matters to your booking.

A PS5 with a stocked game library covers most of it, alongside a projector and two microphones rigged up on the sundeck for movie nights. It’s a private charter, so the group sets the pace each evening rather than fitting around a boat-wide schedule.
